Oil Stabalizer
« on: July 19, 2014, 03:25:43 pm »
My truck will turn 200 k miles next oil change and I am trying to help the engine last a bit longer. It has a leak at the rear seal so it goes through a little oil between changes. I have heard Lucas oil stabilizer will help the engine run smoother and possibly lessen the leak also. Has anyone out there used this product and how did it work for you?

Thanks,
Joe

I have used Lucas oil stabilizer before.  It worked for me, the problem was as soon as I stopped adding it to my truck the leak came back in a couple of months.  Lucas adds basically a compound that makes the seals swell.  So if it is not too bad it will work as long as you keep adding it.
