OEM Clearance/Roof Lights
« on: February 06, 2015, 09:32:16 pm »

My roof light lenses are getting cracked and I need some replacements.

Are there any OEM out there, or any very good aftermarket?

Thanks.

Thanks Captkaos.

I like the low-profile, but I'd have to drill new holes and do something with old ones.

You could always replace the factory ones and just put the small LED bulbs in. That's what I'm gonna do with mine.

OEM lens you say? GM P/N 684662 (old part number maybe discontinued).

However all is not lost.......

Truck-Lite 9069A is the actual GM OEM lens available through the aftermarket.

Truck-Lite 1313A is the actual GM OEM lens, and rubber base also available through non-GM sources.

I have several nos rubber bases in the GM bags that I am holding onto in case the brand new ones I just put on my '77 ever dry out. I also have brand new lenses (bought while GM still had them) that aren't all frosty.  ;D

Thank you for the info and link.  I want to add that to my C20 when I get it done.  I just have to harvest a wiring loom and find a truck to measure for placement.  I knew I should have measured it before I sold it.

Zieg, I added cab lights to my C20  that didn't originally have them. I have all of the factory measurements if you would like them. They are actually measurements on top of a pic of a roof so you can see EXACTLY where to place them.

As for sourcing a wiring harness, I know Chris doesn't have them unfortunately, but a competitor has them for $14.95.

Awesome, I will PM you my email address.  Thanks

here some led ones with the wires
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-5-Cab-clearance-1313A-Amber-Light-10-5730-SMD-194-bright-Amber-LED-for-Chevy-/181660029304?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=YbB%252FNqfC0trpiKars%252BogUA8BpO8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I have that seller in my watching.  I am really wanting OEM bases and OEM wiring loom.  They seem to offer 3 different brightness LED's probably go for the middle one if I choose anything.  I will be on the hunt for OEM first
