Bench Seat Removal..

Just unscrew the 4 bolts (two on each side) and walk the seat out through the passenger-side door right?

Any pointers though before I proceed? Things I need to keep in mind?

Also, is there a safe known way of driving without the seat installed, like with a table/picnick chair? (sound funny, but who knows)

Just the 4 bolts...you may have to watch the seatbelts, depending on your year, but definitely watch your back.  It's not really that heavy, but it's and awkward lift.

Helps if you got 2 people. 1 will pick up one side and walk backward with the seat, the other will pick it up and have to "walk" or move thru the cab from one side out the other. Like pick up on drivers side and come out on passenger side like you said.

I just did that with my son. It came out the driver's side easy enough too.

It's been several years, but as I recall it makes it easier if you fold the seat back down.

If you have a piece of 1/4" hardboard it makes the job easier.  I always undo the 2 rear first.  Then move the seat all the way back to remove the front 2.  Then I get the belts through the seat bottom and free.  I then put the hardboard under the drivers side rail, tilt the seat forward and slide out the passenger side.  I never have help when I need it so I've learned to do a lot on my own including removing a cab...

Good idea zieg. I once moved my extra long bed chassis from a trailer to my backyard with nothin but a really long chain and a tractor, no help needed lol. That was a site to see...
