Steering column change 87 2wd 3/4 ton

Bil wrecked his steering column so he went to a local wrecking yard , couldnt find a truck with a good column but he saw an 87 caprice that he said looked like the same column: tilt,same turn sig switch with cruze

Will it fit?   I dont think that a blazer column is the same so I doubt a pass car column would fit

any thoughts?

they may look the same caprice vs truck (the steering column housings are the same) but i doubt they are the same length

Full sized Blazer 84-91 will work in your 1987 C20
