K25 Suburban Needs Floor Replaced
« on: March 05, 2015, 08:13:51 am »
Thanks for adding me to the forum!

I've got a 1976 GMC Sierra K25 Suburban that needs a little love. Looks like the previous owner parked the darn thing over a sprinkler or something, so there's alot of rust under the back half, mostly on the rear floor pan. My question for anyone who has experience with these "Burbs" is, how would you go about removing the rear floor pan for cleanup, possible repair and reinstall?

I know there about about 10 bolts across the front (right behind rear sear), two bolts for the body bushings in the middle, then another 10 closest to the back two barn doors.. Of course those will all needs to be removed, along with any seam sealer, but what about cutting/welding and that sort of thing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Attached is a photo of my burb, can't get the rear floor pan just yet, my cell phone camera is a potato (it broke).

Thanks! Sorry I couldn't help on the rust issue. I don't have a suburban and have never had to be back there in that area on one either.
