Cut floor to lower seats?
« on: April 01, 2015, 04:17:50 pm »
Hey,

I could not find any threads on cutting the floor to lower the seats in the cab. I have plans to remove both gas tanks and go with a fuel cell. Has anyone done this and have picture so I could get an idea of how to do it? Thanks for any information

Its possible but why do you want to lower the seats? I mean unless your 7 feet tall but then you run into leg room issues.

Well I'm 6'-7". I put bucket seats in it but it is still too tall. I put a lot of thought into it and for how long I plan on keeping the truck I want to be comfortable in it. I have looked at the procar set up but I believe that would still be too tall for me.

I have the Procars, and they sit way too high. I'm 6'1", and I feel as if I'm on top of the truck. I'm in the process of cutting down the brackets and rewelding them. I'll post pics when complete.

@morrow07 I would love to see how that comes out!! Please keep me posted. Also @Captkaos that is what I am looking for. I would like to see a well done seat swap with step by step and to see where they cut. I have seen that post before. I just don't think there are too many people doing it and I don't want to screw up my baby. I would just like to see every option before i start cutting  :-\ :-\

Theres lots of bucket seats with low bottomsthat wouldn't require cutting the floor

Look in cars
