So, i recently had my 1989 chevy 3500 1 ton square body dually delivered. Have had fuel delivery problems since i bought it. Purchased it around 6 months ago for a good price with an agreement of the fuel pump being bad. So, i replaced the pump, sending unit, and i also ran longer lines and wires so i could hook the tank up while it was low enough to fit my arm between it and the floorboard. Started it up and ran like a charm aside from having to start it with brake cleaner a few times. Also, it is TBI. Like i said, i had it delivered the other day, drove it off the trailer into my driveway. Went to start it up, no good. used brake cleaner with no luck. Just runs until its out of brake cleaner. So, i dropped the fuel tank, warrantied the pump, and now im not getting power to it. Ran a brand new ground. Replaced underhood relay. All fuses good. Cannot find any other fuses or relays. The fuel gauge works fine. I was wondering if running a brand new constant wire to the fuel pump to a switch under the dash would work. Just cut it on when i start it. Its nearly impossible to trace the factory wires.
