Hey guys, I've got an 87 R10 that has had an issue with the wipers. they will not park in the correct position, just anywhere when I turn off the wiper switch. Also, the delay does not work.
I had other issues in the steering column so while I was in there I tried a good used wiper switch with the same results as before so I think my switch is working. I have also tried a good used wiper delay module with the same results.
I have never had to do any repairs or replace a wiper motor on any of my other Squares so I don't know alot about the system.
I have heard that the wiper motor HAS to be in the park position when it is installed or it cannot find park, not sure how true this is but it does sound logical.
My question is....
Is there a way to remove the motor and "reset" it to the correct park position? and if so how to do that and will that correct my issues or do I just need a new motor?

The PARK function of the motor has failed.

The intermittent function may be the motor or may be the relay under the column.  Change the motor first then troubleshoot the intermittent function if it's still a problem...
