The plow is big for a 1/2 ton.
I'll have to check the weight of it compared to an old fisher speedcast 7.5' traditional style plow. The front end doesn't sag as much as I thought it would lifting an 8.5' plow.
I've seen 2004ish Chevy 2500HD's with plows on them that do nose dives when lifting the plow. This truck doesn't do that..
I'll just use it as a driveway plow for the winter, not an over the road daily driver. In the spring the plow will go on the M1028.
The M1028 is rated as a 5/4 ton truck. With 4.56 gears, a Detroit locker in the rear, limited slip Dana 60 front, and 2" Tough Country HD front springs, this truck should handle the plow fine.
