try to make this short,
took 78  out to put plow on. drove up to old speedcaster and of course i had to go for/rev a few times, then all of sudden nothin..no movement.. th400 nice pink fluid. 203 tc just changed oil. i dont think its tranny cause i can hear the parking pawl trying to catch when go to park,. like tc is in neutral...no linkage is off and it feels like something there when shifting tc...is it possible to get one stuck in neutral??...i can pull this in park...

I wouldn't pull it in park. 
If you set the transfer case in neutral you can probably get away with towing a short distance.

An NP203 truck won't have front axle hub locks unless someone put a part time kit in it. 
An unmodified NP203 operates as if it has an open diff inside between the front and rear driveshaft so if something breaks in between the transfer case and any wheel it sends power to the wheel that's no longer attached.  When shifted into Hi-Loc or Lo-Loc, the transfer case differential locks to provide equal power to both driveshafts. 
If the front or rear drive-line has a failure the whole truck will stop moving with the transfer case selector in regular Hi or Lo modes.
Will she move if you set the transfer case range shifter in Hi-Loc or Lo-Loc and the transmission in gear?

nope...and park is like neutral so it seems the tc is in neut...yes i put a conversion kit in years agoe

linkage all looks good....i did find the adjustment procedure...just to cold for these old hands

pulled tc and it seems fine.... haven't  pulled trans apart yet but looks like broke output shaft on th400...

Out put shaft in the trans mission probably broke off.
Just replaced the trans in my 87 V20 because the output shaft broke. Tends to be the one week link in a TH 400.

with the output shaft you can also break the transfer case adapter this will allow t case to separate enough to slie out of the coupler

by adapter you mean the cast iron mount or the female spline on the tc ?

The plate that connects the transmission to the transfer case. Or like blaze said you can break the output or input shaft or the sleeve
