just had someone measure theirs.
Total length is 29 inches
Bell housing is 6 7/8 inch
Trans is 20 3/4 inch
Adapter is 1 11/16 inch

now this is with a 1 11/16 adapter thats required to mate a long input shaft 32 spline 205 with a round pattern (86+) to the nv4500.

if you want you could double check it all to the front of the adapter. i trust where these numbers came from but i had found another place that said the 4500 was only 12"

Irish I'll give you the dimensions of mine in the am.

I do know from recently measuring the AA bellhousing I had but recently returned to AA was 6.625 inches.

Anything longer then about 6.200 with the 1.250 10 input shafts that's on my 2001 NV4500.

AA had a extra long pilot bearing  that extended well past the std location that the factory pilot bushing would sit at on the crankshaft.

My nv4500 body is 12.250 long and the tail housing is 7.875.

Didn't measure the square donut as it wasn't where the transmission was, will get that info later if you need it.
