Coil Spring Insulators too thick??
« on: June 05, 2016, 07:07:16 pm »
I just got some 2 inch lowering coil springs and the insulators that they came with are pretty thick. They're so thick that I'm thinking they might actually take away some of my drop.

I remember when I changed the springs on my previous truck (1990 Short bed) the insulators were only about a quarter inch thick. These are about an inch thick.

Have you guys ever used these kind of insulators?

I'd really appreciate your opinions thanks.

Be patient, this site has over 10,000 members but that doesn't mean they are all on here. It may take time but eventually the right person will chime in.

if you got a 2" lowering kit and the spacers only make it a 1" kit then the company would probably be sued for false advertisement. i would think the spacers are adding into the 2" drop

If you had'nt figured it out yet,the 1 inch thick spacers are included if you only want to drop 1inch in front,if 2 inch leave out spacer and just run the stock thin insulator.
