those are just like the onesw i have...the nice thing is it says an h4 bulb but you can't find them...it is actually a 9007 i believe...i will have to double check...i replaced the bulbs in mine with even stronger bulbs.

I don't hold most halo replacements in high regards, as their optical quality is often suspect, while they may produce (with the help of whatever bulb you put in, spend some money on GOOD quality stuff here, no sylvania, eiko, or wagner) a lot of light, it may not be well focused and end up creating a very false sense of security, and/or blinding other drivers. You could try them, but in my opinion, if you want a budget upgrade, buy good basic GE sealed beams and save money for a set of hella, cibie, or koito headlights and Osram, Flosser, or Narva bulbs, or a quality set of LED headlamps such as JW Speaker Evolution 2's, although their price point is horrendous for what you're buying, IMO.

i would like to further amend my position regarding headlights:  i have failed automotively AND put the general public, and myself in danger by using sub-standard lighting, specifically Wagner and Sylvania.

i ask for forgiveness and consideration.

My plan for improvement:

 Due to financial and time constraints i will first research, and if feasible and practical, the installation of a relay system for the headlight circuit;  i hear this really brightens up the stock headlights.

Then as finances allow i will switch totally to LED headlights;  i have Grote specficially in mind.

Can you change just the bulbs in our headlights or do you have to buy a whole new headlight I can't remember and I'm at work other wise I would simply go check it thanks. I'm browsing amazon getting ready to buy something maybe a light bar and some new led bulbs

All I had to do was grind just a little bit of metal off the back of the headlight mount where the plug is located...but other than that it fit perfect

GE headlamps are not often found at parts stores, definitely not autozone, o'reillys, or carquest/advanced, but you *MIGHT* find them at a Napa, as many are still independent. Just search on Amazon for "GE H6024" if you want to look online. You want the Standard ones. Yellow box.

For replacement housings and bulbs of any quality, expect to go online also. For the cheapest option for fair quality, HELLA 002395801 Vision Plus lamps are decent quality, for around $75/pair. Bulbs I buy from http://www.danielsternlighting.com/. Drop him an e-mail, give him an idea of what your budget is, what you want to accomplish, and what exact vehicle you are wokring on and how it will be used, and see what his recommendation is. He may come up with a budget friendly idea, or have a recommendation for an upgrade path that you can take a little at a time.

I put LED's in my K20 for a few reasons. One being that I put a relay harness in and there was no difference. The voltage drop was less than .2V difference at best and two being that this truck has a phantom grille. I drive this truck very rarely at night but when I do it's awful because of the lighting. Since the grille does impact the lighting I decided to go with LED. I would never run LED's in a daily driver though, they are way too bright to oncoming vehicles. I'll post a few before and after pics. I replaced them on a dark rainy night to really see the difference. Pictures are as is, no filter.

I bought assemblies and 4 spacer bushings. The buckets are removed and I just mounted them where the top adjusters would be.  Like I said there's a phantom grille in front of these otherwise I would get ones that fit inside the buckets. They sell ones that look stock but take an LED insert.

i'm getting ready to replace all the lights on the truck with led's starting with the marker, turn and tail.

Can you help guide me?

1) Is it a simple plug and play with no modifications necessary?
2) What are some good, hi-quality brands?
3) Is it harmful to only switch a few at the beginning, eventually switching all.  This includes headlights.

1) Yes but polarity matters so make sure they are not in backwards if one does not light up.
2) Buyer beware. Best deals are on eBay but look at their feedback and warranty terms.
3) Balance the load especially considering the flasher for signals and hazards.
