Ok guys, I need some advice. I have a 1982 Chevy Shortwide C10 with a 350. I have purchased the DJM upper and Lower control arms and the 6" flip Kit from bell tech. I also purchased the CPP big brake kit installing all new 13" disk brakes all around. Ok here is the question, The CCP BBK came with new spindles what I didn't know is those spindles have a 2 1/2" drop in them. Can I still use the upper and lower control arms from DJM Because they have the deep spring pocket built in giving them a 3" drop. I am wanting a 4 to 5" drop in the front and a 6" drop in the back. I am also wanting to run 20x10, 285x50x20 in the front and back. Will i have any road clearance issues if i go with a rim and tire this tall. also will i have any problems alining the front end? Thanks
Thanks for all the advice. Returning the lowers, next question can you mix lower and upper control arm manufacturers? Like DJM uppers and CPP LOWERS?
I have two options keep the DJM upper tubular control arm and buy a stock lower control arm, send both upper and lower control arms back and go with a different manufacturer, Like CPP. Only thing is they are way more expensive!$$$$
