Bent wheels ?

1980 k10 stock wheels 31x10.50x15 tires

If I've had the same set of wheels balanced twice in the last month, second time was for a set of new tires, plus an alignment that time.  If my wheels were bent I'm correct in thinking one of the shops would have let me know there was an issue, correct? 

I'm just trying to chase down an intermittent shake/bobble to my truck, and I was hoping new tires would do the trick.

i would hope the shop would say something about a bent wheel

is the shake in the front or the back?

A tire shop will/should let you know if there is a visible deformity or the rim is bent, what they may not be able to tell you is if it is out of round, or if it is bent it is not easily identified by the eye.

Kind of what I figured.  I took my wifes car for an alignment once, and they said they couldn't do it b/c the wheels were bent.  Figured I'd get the same now with my truck if that were the case.

I got these wheels from a salvage yard probably 12-13 years ago, and we put them on a tire machine and spun them by hand with a straight edge to verify they were straight, and round.  Never really hit anything since, so figured they must still be ok.  Simply second guessing things.
