Who's cut there coils
« on: December 26, 2016, 09:22:57 PM »
I was gonna buy some 3" lowering springs for the front of my 81 custom deluxe. The ones I was gonna buy are backordered till may it says.whats the most I could cut without probs I don't wanna go a lot just maybe a coil and half for 3". Just wondering if that'd be to much or make it where I couldn't get it aligned. I've never dropped any kind vehicle before so I don't know what to expect especially cutting coils . I know it a make it stiffer but that would be great considering the truck doesn't even have a sway bar.can someone help me out?

Really need more details on what you are working with and trying to accomplish. Cutting coils can be done but subtly if you intend to enjoy driving it. Why not lowering spindles? What are you doing about the back end?

Already did shackles in the rear .gonna do hangers when budget allows. It's a 81 c10 came with a inline 6' now has a 305.my understanding is spindles a rub the 15x8 rallys on the truck.
