235/75s on OEM Aluminum Wheels?
« on: February 23, 2018, 11:56:01 PM »
1982 C10 LWB 6.2 Diesel

Currently my truck has what I believe to be the original 15” steel wheels, and 235/75s all the way around with the rears being brand new. I found a guy selling a set of OEM aluminum wheels on my local classifieds. He says they are 8” wide, wants $200 for them. I want the wheels, but I’m not interested in buying new tires right now.
How would my 235/75s look on the 8” wheels? Anyone running that combo/willing to share pictures? What tire size came on those wheels from factory?
I’ll attach pictures of the wheels I’m looking at and of my truck with the steelies.

Those looked better than the steelies for sure and were a little wider (not wide enough or correct offset in my opinion) but were commonly trashed by the clear peeling. If they aren't peeling or have been restored they should look pretty good. 235/75R15 will be fine
