Coolant leak trigger MIL light?

Can a leak in the coolant system trigger the check engine light in a 1987 5.7 L TBI truck?

That’s the next step.. I wasn’t sure if the rudimentary cpu in this truck would trigger that.. recently addressed an oil pressure issue, then as soon as I resolved that, the next day the radiator cracked at the outlet.. throwing code more now than before,,
