Steering Box Leak

Next on the hit parade, the steering box on my 1984 C19 is leaking oil.............
Is this common??

leaking oil is very rare. power steering fluid or tans fluid is somewhat common but typically an easy fix but you just have to find out where its leaking, it could be a hose or a seal on the gear box or even on the pump

It is not ps fluid. It is amber in color.
I believe it is leaking out of the seal around the input shaft, as I had removed the column recently.
the engine has not run since I backed it into the shop 2 weeks ago, and this puddle is recent.

Power steering is amber, also Brake fluid.

If you believe it is the steering box leaking, then it is power steering fluid. However make sure to check brake fluid level just in case.

It's possible someone put hydralic oil in it also. You could maybe try a new seal, but probably will end up with a reman. Dump the old oil out and I prefer to use ATF in these trucks.

I guess it is ps fluid.
But, it is leaking from the steering box at the input shaft seal.
