hay i was wondering can you switch a Chevy c30 454  4 speed with a 5 speed if so which transmission do i look for and out of what type of vehicle and would i have to make mods or can i just slap it in can any one tell me how this is done?

the shifter will not come out of the same hole if you don't care about cutting another hole.  I'm going to do a gear vendor in my truck so i don't have a second hole.
