Same thing is happening on the West Coast...Portlanders coming in droves to the small coastal communities.  My hometown put the clamps on it and shutdown hotels, motels, parks, campgrounds, and beach approaches.  Told those vacationing there they have 48 hours to vacate and go home!  People came down and cleared the shelves of local markets that had supplies.

i was listening to the radio and they had one of those people from NY who went to a wedding party and they gave the excuse "it was against their religion to cancel a wedding once it was scheduled". its that type of mentality that can really screw everything up

...and (supposedly) New Yorkers are fleeing their city en masse.

I guess it's suddenly not very hip to live packed like sardines with folks from all over the globe.  Funny how that works.  ;)

Can't even buy a frikkin' can of tomato soup around here.  Frikkin' hoarders...  People don't seem to get that if they just calm the heck down, the food supply (and the toilet paper supplies) are fine.  Take a breath!  No household needs 40 gallons of Purell! Resume shopping the way you always have, and let the supply chains catch up.  Stop grabbing all of everything you can lay your hands on!

"it was against their religion to cancel a wedding once it was scheduled".
That is one of the most ridiculous excuses I have heard yet!

I'm thinking about breaking-out a bottle of Jack, watching the news, and taking a shot every time they say "Coronavirus" or "COVID 19".
