gas leak at carburator
« on: December 18, 2006, 12:00:00 pm »
I have a 1981 chevy k10 .I had to put a diferent carburator on it and it is leaking gas at the gas filter inlet nut.Upon investigating i have found that the threads in the carburator are stripped.I was told they make an oversized inlet nut repair kit that cuts its own threads as you put it in.Any tips on if this works and how to make sure its in straight etc, etc.  Any help would be appreciated  thx

epoxy it back in and install an inline fuel filter.
