Where can I order this hose?

Does anyone know where i can order a fuel filler hose from for an 81 C-10 stepside? I need one pretty quick and none of the local parts stores here have anything. I've checked some of the other places like   but no luck.

Check the dealer. If not you could use a pce of rad hose. Just look for a small one that has a nice bend in it and cut out the part you need. I've done this a couple of times.

I got mine from the dealer. Tried form Yankee GMC trucks but they had no clue and sent me the wrong stuff and then insisted that someone must have modified my truck. Ended up going to Benson Chevrolet in Franklin N.H., and they had the right parts in 2 days.

I called the local dealerships and they told me GM no longer carries the parts it would have to be something fabricated. I hate to go to the junkyard because I'll like a new hose.

Not sure which store but my friend picked up some by the foot from an auto parts store. Flexible with a coil in it. Worked perfevt for my side tanks. Maybe even home depot has it too.

I would call a bigger dealership, or one with a better parts dept. I just bought mine a few months back, and they had it from out of state whare house in two days.

Like I posted earlier. you can have a hose bought and installed in about 2 hours.Just grab a small rad hose with a nice bend in it and you're good to go.Take your filler neck with you to get the right diameter.

Thanks for the reply's. I'm going to check a few more options Fast68.

123pugsy is the filler hose and radiator hose made of the same material? I bought a makeshift hose from carquest but the guy said it was temporary. The last thing I want to worry about is if the fuel will burn a hole in the hose and possibly cause an explosion.
I don't know much about these things and just want to be sure.

when i restored my pickup with dual tanks i used a bed with only one fuel door so i got a radiator hose and put it from the tank to the wheel well 6 years ago without any problems so i doubt you`ll have any either.

Ran one on my last truck without problems for 6 years. I believe they are the same material but not 100% sure.
