1973-87 Vent Window Assembly
« on: June 16, 2024, 01:22:04 PM »
I searched this subject and there was quite a bit of technical information on how to remove them, rebuild them and such but I'm looking to find a place to buy them rebuilt.   has them listed but it's been a LONG time (pardon the pun) since they haven't been backordered. Is there anyone who does this service? I do not have the time to rebuild them myself. Plus I'm old and have no intent to waste the precious time I have left on a gamble I could even do it correctly. I'm sure I could get them installed but that's all I'm confident in.

Check out the forums store and do an internet search for the 73-87 Chevy Truck vent window assembly and you will find options. There are replacements out there!

I have purchased a few sets of the new ones and they are great! I have also rebuilt my fair share of them as well. I believe precision still offers this service. https://www.prp.com/vent-program

Our Vendor Precision will be offering a complete 1981-91 Vent Window assembly coming soon.  We have a number of them on order and they will be listed in the store when available.
NOTE: they stated that the holes for the leading edge at the door will have to be drilled/tapped.

We offer the seals to rebuild them along with the rivets and tools.  If they aren't here, email me.  It does take patience and time to rebuild them.

NOTE: The vents break down to 73-80, 81-85 and 85-91.

Great Thanks! I'll get with Precision and figure on having functional vent windows again that don't whistle and flap like a bird wing. :)
