1976 3/4T 4" Lift

Would a 4" suspension lift on my 1976 3/4T Fleetside be enough to clear 35 inch tires without rubbing?

Also, would a 2" body lift require any modification to my steering shaft or anything else?

Not without clearancing some body panels.

Anything that is mounted to the body and the frame I would see problems.  Shifter linkage, steering column, ground straps..etc

Well my pickup has a 2.5" suspension lift on it already, and I am going to add a 3" body lift. That will make for 5.5" total of lift, which should be enough for 35s, if not then I guess a new 4" suspension lift will do the trick.

For the body lift, you will have to lengthen the shift linkage and any ground straps.  Yes, the 4" suspension lift should clear 35's.

Well it's a manual so I won't have to lengthen the shift linkage, but I might have to trim around the hole in the body under the shift boot if it hits the body at all. The kit also says it come with an extension for the steering shaft if needed, so other than the ground straps it should be ok. Will I have to adjust my clutch pedal though?

With a manual you will have to lengthen your clutch rod and if you want the shifters in the same position those too.  You will also have to lenghten the fuel hose to the tank.

If you go with a body-lift,You will have to cut the bottom have of your fan shroud off. And, Tail-light wiring may be an issue also. Oh,and dont forget about your gas tank hoses that are bolted to your bedsides. If you dont extend them ,they will be in a heck of a bind!

Don't forget about the lower grille panel(I call it a valance) under your grille and behind your front bumper. With a 3in body lift it would end up over top of the bumper. With a 2in it might interfere with the bumper. Just a thought. :)

Depends on the tire itself, and if its a true 4 inch lift. It's suprising how much variation there is with suspension lifts. I've seen 4 inch kits sold that range from 2.5 to 4 inches. My lift is a little under 4 inches and I have to trim a fair amount to run my 35's. You might be able to get away with a 315/75/16. As for the body lift I'm not sure.
