tailgate power window

I've got a little problem here,i recently bought a tailgate for my blazer at a swap meet with the window down and no key.:rolleyes  i have no way to hook it up to my blazer to power it up cause all the wiring is bad on the truck.there are 4 wires at the bottom of the gate orange,black,lt.blue,tan. anyone know how to raise the glass???? i have tried to hook the wires to a battery(in every way possible) with no luck,it tries to go down but not up >:

either jump the pins at the gate switch or move the latches to the closed position. This is so the window won't go up or down with the gate open.

PROBLEM SOLVED, a friend told me to unhook the cable from the window motor and use a drill on the cable.IT WORKED PERFECTLY.
