How much to get a TH350 rebuilt

My transmission leaks like there's no tomorrow and it recently stopped shifting. So I was curious what’s the average cost to get one of these transmissions rebuilt?

where do you live? If you R & R it and brought it to me I'd probably do it for about $350 bucks as a cash deal + parts. If you were a customer and brought it to me $520 + parts. R&R is 3.5 hours approximately book time additional.... hope this helps

I'm in Washington State...thx for reply btw. Hopefully, I can find someone around here to do it for around that. My mother-in-law had hers rebuilt a few years back and they charged her around $1000.

Well that'd probably put you in that range if you're having them do it. They have to flush the cooler and replace the torque converter also so that ought to put you right near that mark.

I'd rather not take a chance... seems every time I take a chance with my truck something goes wrong. I'd rather have it rebuilt and know that its going to work good for a while. Thx for the info and quick reply.

I'm saving up right now for a gear venders TH400. It's around 2500 plus shipping but with the gas prices doing the way they are it will pay off that extra 1500 bucks in a year or two. Plus the reduced wear on the engine during highway runs.

I've got a TH400 that still works in another truck that I have... but its my understanding that the TH400 isn't much of an improvement over the TH350.

The 400 is a great transmission and can take a lot of punishment. It is def a better trans as far as longevity is concerned too. Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

It's 2wd... the th400 I have is in a 3/4 4x4.

mine blew compleatly (i even needed a new case and pan) and it was $835.97 for new gears, bands, case and every thing else. and that was in coonrapids MN.

If it's a stock 350 no lockup converter, why don't you get a reman at jegs or summit for $625 no core charge?

Shipping will be $75-100 though.

u can get summit's turbo 350 out of their magazine for under 600
