Need recommendations

I can't decide what to do with the interior for my Blue truck. I decided Charcoal, black, and the blue I painted the truck.

The seat I ended up going with is here but I chose fabric because my dog will scratch the leather...

The supervisor:rollin

Anyway I am going with a full coverage Charcoal carpet & matching carpet door panels

The door panels and dash pad are black. Here is where I need opinions....

Does anyone use the kick panels with speakers? Do they get in the way? Do you like them? How do they sound?

I've done custom wood grain dash inlays and such but am getting kinda bored with woodgrain. Anyone do anything cool and have pix?

What's that,Vile's trapped in the well???!! Just kidding,Collies are cool.I did my own Elm burl inlay with leftover material at my shop. Would much rather go with stainless or brushed aluminum, maype find a good plating co. and go with a black nickel plate. Black nickel looks sooo cool.

How did I miss that entire post? That truck looks awesome Pugsy! Isn't that the one I said looked like a screen door? :lol  I guess I didn't look close enough because it's awesome! My sincere apologies there...Did you make those lower door panels? Those are totally slick too!

Since everyone says good things about the speaker kick panels I'll buy a set from Chris.

How about dash inserts around the vents? Anyone have a line on some really cool ones?

I had an issue with the parking brake pedal hitting the speaker probably as I had installed a 1/2" thick pce. of foam under the speaker lip to keep it from hitting at the back.Also the covers on my speakers are a wee bit on the thiccccckkk side (about 10 years old so don't ask about the sound).

I cut out a circular ring of 1/2" plywood and siliconed it in from the backside for a little extra rigidity for the speaker screws.

Oh yea. I missed that question. I made all the stainless on my truck.I've got a whole stainless steel fabricating shop to play with. Its 10 minutes from my house and I can run down anytime to fab stuff.

I still have to put vent holes in them.The fan doesn't blow properly when the windows are up.Not sure how to do them properly.The stock flapper thingys don't seem to work too well.Any thoughts?

Hmm Those are punched holes and would be hard to duplicate. How about a grid and just drill the holes out instead? Or just leave them solid and crack a window :lol
