very nice! where did you get the valve covers?

Valve coves came with the engine from D&J Machine in Arizona.  They are the tall covers. contact them, they can send ya some i am sure....

I believe they have the same ones in Summit.... A whole engine kit in the same paint scheme and everything for like $160 or something...

They're easy enough to build. I am building one right now as my next chevy small block project. I scored a set of Vortech heads from a 98 tahoe that needed a new engine and the guy bought a crate engine. I plopped a set of crappy 1.72"s I had on the core engine and kept the vortech heads so that was a nice free score. You can buy an engine kit from summit, jegs and a zillion other companies out there.
