vacuum source for heater/defroster controls

It seems that the previous owner cut the line as it exits the cab of the truck. I need to know where the vacuum line is connected so that I get my defroster/heater and what-not working.

The heater controls should go to the round vacuum reserve canister and the canister should receive manifold vaccum

The vacuum line comes out of the firewall on the passenger side of the engine.
