Well I am sure that this has been talked about before but i have a 78 truck and wanted to know if the newer doors like off a 85 or something would fit on mine?
Thanks

yes. but there is something different about the inner door that is different. mounting holes for the window motor or something? someone else can chime in with that.

73-76 are different.  Door panels and window cranks are different on these years. The rest are the same.

Not sure what the years are I think 73-76 have the larger wing window, 77-87 have a smaller wing(larger rubber molding)

Any 73-87 (RV to 91) doors will swap to any cab.  Where you run into trouble is when you try to put 77-91 pieces in a 73-80 door.  Mixing parts is not a good idea unless you stay within the normal 73-76 and 77-91 split.  The vents will still work regardless of size they are just have one less mounting screw.
