I am one of those guys who NEVER finds that killer good deal. I am almost always a day late or a few dollars short.....However, today at work, I casually mention to a customer some parts I'm looking for, and BEHOLD !!!!! A DEAL !!!!!...He had an Edelbrock Performer Intake (2 yrs old) in his tool box on the truck. I bought it for TEN BUCKS..........cheezy, I know, but I never get this lucky...later in the day, rolling in on a rollback, is a 87 C10 SWB. The driver gets out asks if we work on these, I say sure do, he gets quotes for repairs, I mention I like his cowl hood on his truck and mention that I am looking for one to buy, used and cheap. He states he has recently purchased a Goodmark steel cowl hood and would be willing to sell me the one (not a Goodmark but a nice hood nonetheless) for $100.00. WOW 2 deals on the same day !!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT !!!!! I just had to share my good fortune......Now I get to explain it to the wife when I come home with new goodies for my truck......she is VERY understanding but............
