Can someone explain this cam to me?

I don't know anything about cams but this is the one in my 350, this motor was originally going in my 72 chevelle until the 454 started knocking. I'm guessing not the best cam for the truck correct?

That's a mild performance cam. It will work well with your stock valve train or a modified cylinder head. You'll be able to hear the cam in the idle mildly but you need to elaborate on why you think it won't be the best cam for your truck? It will work nice if you have a decent intake and exhaust -

I thought is may not be the best for the truck as it shows the power range in the upper rpms as you generally want it in the lower rpms in a truck, or maybe I was reading it wrong.

Just use a dual plane intake manifold, a nice set of headers, a decent ignition system and that thing will have lots of snap.
