Driveshaft issue
« on: June 19, 2007, 07:02:51 pm »
I was putting my driveshaft back on the truck today and it seems like it is too long now. I didn't move the crossmember and the transmission is exactly where it was before. Is this a 2 piece driveshaft that pulls apart? I tried pushing it back in and it won't budge. 76 chevy silverado 3/4 ton long bed th400.

Is the slip yoke binding? Lube it up and push it back together

You were right Vile, the slip yoke was binding. A little pb blaster sprayed on it did the trick.
