Well people i got some bad news.
I let this guy work on the truck and he totally screwed it up.I mean he used a entire gallon of paint on just the cab and the doors. He wasted 600.00 worth of paint materials on it and im beyond ticked. And to top it all off he got overspray all over the frame and he never sealed the truck before he layed down the paint and you can see thru them aka holidays...But he got overspray ALL over the interior of the cab and i told him about it and his responce was:i was going to rub it out". I went on my vacation to RI and heard bout the truck. i seen it in my garage,I flipped.. I told the guy to bring me all my parts i cant afford to do another 600.00 in materials and his pay to do the truck.SO i told him as well i want some of my money back as you didnt do this much work for the money i gave him... I will forward anyone around my area to stay away from this guy as he doesn`t do the quality of the work as he says he does... I got the cab back off the truck as i am drilling the frame for the 700r4 crossmember. And i`m gonna wetsand the entire cab with 400 grit and get the fenders jammed and i`m gonna paint this truck myself.I got the equipment  and i figure i give someone some work. But nope i was to naive and realized this SHISTER took me for a idiot.. So look for pics to come within about 3 weeks as your gonna see the pics of what he did to the cab and the paint work im going to lay down on this truck....
thanks

What a shame, you waited so long and were so excited.  Do it yourself now.  It'll be better and you'll know exactly what you got and that it was done right.

Sorry to hear about that. But it has been my experience that there isn't a body man that can do what they promise. I mean no disrespect to anyone here that sticks to thier word but anyone I have personally dealt with have been full of it. I'm trying to do my sons myself for that reason at least if it isn't perfect I didn't spend thousands of dollars to look at crap.

How annoying!  Basically all they did was create more work for you.

Wow, that is entirely aggravating! I knew of a guy who heard about a guy who had a small crew and backyard shop kinda thing that supposedly did nothing but hot rods, excellent work, etc. so he forked out more than a typical shop would for this 'pro'. Got it back and it was horrible, just nasty. It almost makes you want to go to a large chain shop for their guarantee and stuff. Not Maaco persay but a chain that does collision and insurance work and advertises a lot.  We have a few of those up here (Kirmac Collision, Craftsman Collision) and they might give you Riddler-quality paint but it will be at least new-car OEM quality and have a guarantee behind it.

Well tonight i decided to work on the truck some. After cutting the grass i moved the frame into the corner a bit more and i took off them nasty wheels and put on my new coys wheels.SOme mentioned the front wheel cap dont fit.SO i tested n sure enough it doesnt fit the front wheels, out came the die grinder and ground down the insides of the 2 center caps.Bolted the wheels on and now they fit and sit flush. But i ended up covering the frame and called it a night. So i am figuring in about 3 weeks i`m gonna get into painting the cab and the nose 1st then the bed next.Next week i`m gonna pick up all my supplies to build my own booth. But i learned a valuable experience here, i hope this guy gives me some of what i am owed and that should cover the paint supplies AGAIN and this time i know it will come out right.I been painting for almost 20 years and i shouldve done it myself.I was so burnt out i needed a break but now i`m poised to get it all back and done...

thanks
pat

Well i decided NOT to show any pics of the truck in its current state i think it looks way to gross to let anyone here see it.But i started wetsanding the firewall and got that all knocked out..Tomorrow i`m gonna get more 400 grit wetsanding paper, a fresh soft wetsanding block,, and a couple of other things to get this cab blocked out and prepped for paint... It really sucks i gotta redo this thing over but it`ll look good and alot better once its done....I`ll keep everyone posted as i`m gonna be doing alot of wetsanding and prepping and i gotta build my booth this week...

thanks
