Well the 1st time around was 580.00 but that was a gallon of paint, a gallon of clear and all the reducers and hardners. But that was w/o any sealer cause the knucklehead didnt use any sealer, he tried using the primer to use it as a sealer as he said to over reduce it and didnt know what he was doing.Well in the MSDS sheets its highly reccomended to seal the truck in black and then go over with the paint as this color has alot of binder.(a part of the material used to mix the paint)What amazes me man is that he cleared over this all and you can see holidays(light spots) in the color.his excuse was if you seal it with black it wont match the interior.I was totally floored when he tried passing that crap on me.But no not at all if you wanna use it by all means now the country has 2 stepsides this color lol.... But seriously man get 2 gallons of clear as im gonna use both of them up for 4 coats of clear.Once you wetsand it your gonna have maybe 2 1/2 coats to cover the base.. It should look killer once its done...
thanks
pat

Thanks everyone for the compliments.
Well its done i been at it 14 hours today, 3 coats of clear, 2 good coats of base.I`m wiped out my compressor is gasping for a breath as i worked that thing to death today as well as my spray gun.. But i got a little wetsanding and buffing to do but the bed pieces came out sweet. Its just the roof, the hood and the fenders need a lil polishing..
thanks

Well people its done its all 1 color finally.

I spent 14 hours sunday working on this paint job, considering i had to get to the local parts store since the people at the paint store only gave me 2 tack rags and i needed a few before laying down the clearcoat.Like i said its got a little bit of trash but nothing 1500-2000 grit cant fix and a buffing wheel. I`m happy this headache is over with i am ready to move on and get back to what i need to do now and get this thing back together.I`ll still do a video eventually but for now i`ll take some snapshots of it as we speak..

thanks everyone for hearing my bellyaches about the jerk that ripped me off and alll that encouraged me to get this done and be happy about it.I`m very satisfied with the color and the bodywork .

thanks
pat
