Couple of new pics, i painted the rear dust shields(new) i took my old set of spindle assemblies apart and used the hardware for the shields, i just replaced the lock washers with new ones.I sandblasted the bolts and painted them, primed and painted the calipers, packed the bearings and installed the setups.I also went ahead and put on the front brake lines.All new hardware as well.They look pretty good i think. But i need to grease all the fittings, everyting is tight to move so that`ll be next to do.Plus i am gonna wait till my swaybar comes so i can order all the brackets and bushings and get that installed before i put the tires on and take it off the stands.

Not all B-bodies had 5x5, only those with the HD suspension, as far as I know the C-bodies followed this also.  90% of the kits sold use Caddy calipers. 

Correct Cap, my Apologies I made a mistake earlier, 77-90 Civi-B-bodies still had the 5x4-3/4 bolt pattern, with the HD models(including those with the Tow Package) recieving the 5 on 5 pattern.  91-96's it was standard on all B-body models(Buick/Olds were a part of this line up after 90, as Cadillac recieved it's own stretched chassis, and Pontiac dropped out in 86/89).  80/82-90 Cadillac's C/D-bodies on the other hand, recieved the 5 on 5 pattern when Optioned with discs in the rear, and again Standard Bolt Pattern for 91-96 Models.  It was 77-79 Cadillac Seville's that came Standard with the 5 on 5 Front & Rear discs, and 5 & 4 3/4 Optional with rear drums( although 5 on 5 could also be ordered with rear drums, if towing was going to be involved with the car).   The other thing I should make clear, now that I am looking at this, and not to confuse someone more, 91-93 B-bodies(Caprice/Roadmaster/Custom Cruiser) did not have rear disc brakes, they still had the drum brakes with the 5 on 5 pattern. Rear discs was an option on the 94-95 B-bodies(If not earlier for the Buicks), with them being Standard on all 96 Models(Drums were still optional with the towing packages).

A buddy of mine in Maryland has a set of 17s that he was gonna use on his 71 SS nova that he bought brand new.He paid 1800.00 for them and will sell them to me for 1300.00 so i am gonna get them.He never put them on the street n got any miles on them so i am gonna get them.They look like torque thrust II`S so that`ll be in May when i head to ocean city Maryland to the ocean city car cruise weekend.

A co worker told me if i am gonna run real nice set of wheels to convert the rear from drum to disc, so i looked in summit for a kit and heres what i came up with.

Right now i cant afford to do this but eventually i think in the future before the truck goes out for paint i am gonna get this kit.What do you think?  BE HONEST. Or should i do a coversion from like a car or?

The SSB kits are nice, everything is brand new..most conversions people do are the caddy conversions I think, but I'd go with the stainless brake kit..you don't have to do any hunting for parts that way, and I can't see the cost working out to be MUCH cheaper to go the route of the caddy conversions, especially if you buy new calipers and rotors. However, either way, buy a NEW master cylinder designed to work with disc brakes, so you don't have your rear brakes dragging all the time.

Well here it is FINALLY on all 4 wheels, had a problem with 1 of the calipers hitting the rotor(on 1 of the painted parts next to the wheel stud part of the rotor) had to grind it down a little bit but it worked and it spins freely now.But these wheels are just rollers until i get my 17s for it.But i put a little tire dressing on them to clean them up a bit.Its so good to see it as a roller for the 1st time since may of 06 when it was just a cab and a bare frame w/o any paint or anything on it .

That's basically what my other project looks like right now... Ughh lotsa work but lookin good!

tell me about it vile, I never expected to be this much work and this is just the chassis, i did alittle to the cab but now i got to get the ball rollin on the cab , get the seats prefitted hang the nose and the hood for fiment, geez do i got alot of work to do lol...

thanks, its 4 1/2 inch drop in the front and 4 inch drop in the rear.Its taken alot to get this far i`ll say ,i am gonna work on the cab now  and possibly get the bodywork done and move onto hanging the doors, getting them fitted along with the fenders, and the cowl hood.Blow it apart (the body only) and start the body work on them.Once i get the panels on i`ll take more pics.

What size cowl hood are you going with?

The hood is a 2 inch cowl induction from goodmark.Funny i ordered a front hood section from jc whitney cause the front section on my hood was so rotted it needed replacing.I ordered 1 and it kept getting backordered and then all of a sudden they cancelled my order since they couldnt get them in on time.Well i went to ebay and looking at hoods.1 guy from north ft myers had 1 and only wanted 50.00 for it and it was off of a 74.SO i asked if i buy it would you be willing to meet me 1/2 way on delivery?He said where at?I said tampa, he said no thats to far , so i said ok thanks but i am after a cowl induction hood anyways, he replied i got 1 if your interested but its got some damage so he sent me pics and i said ok how much?He said 100.00.They sent him the hood and got damaged in shipping so he called and told them that it was damaged so they sent him another 1 and didn't ask for this 1 back.So i drove 4 1/2 hours each way to get this hood.I fixed some of the damage but need to get it on the truck to finish a small section that got creased to the point where i got a section of a hood to repair it.I got very lucky on the hood, well i got very lucky on alot of the parts in prices.
