Anyone real sharp on wiring power window conversion??

I have wanted to put power windows in my 85 C-20 Scottsdale and have 3 donor wiring harnesses, 2 Suburban and 1 crew cab, either 85 or 86.  My question is... I would like to omit the rear doors, power lock circuit on the passenger side and use a single switch on the drivers side for powering the drivers door only.  Power locks with switch only on the drivers door.  Anyone tackle that one before???  Just checking before I start hacking into it to see if it has been done.

I guess I will try and do that however I want a single switch on the left door and only a pdl switch on the drivers side.  Thanks for the reply back.

The drivers side switch allows you to operate both windows. Are you saying you just don't want a visible switch on the passenger side?

I am confused too?  Are you only wanting power on one side of the truck, and therefore only want a drivers side power window switch and power lock switch?

I did this to my 76. You will be better off with a 2 door wiring harness. You will hook up all the wires and the two left will be a red for power and a black for ground. You just hook up the red to a power source thats on when the key is on. My doors were off different mid 80's pickups but it was easy just time consuming.

Also the door locks are on a separate system than the windows.

I thought I made it clear.  I want a power switch (single switch) on either door.  I would like to put the power door lock switch only on the drivers door to operate both doors.  Trying to make it as simple as possible with the least amount of switches and I wouldn't use the pdl switch on the passenger side anyway.  My choice of single switches mainly stem from if it doesn't work out I can put my hand cranks back on and haven't ruined my door panels.  Thanks all for the the interest.

This is how I read the above, you want a single switch on the left door (which is the drivers door) and you only want the PDL switch on the drivers door (which is the left door). 

So you either want 2 switches on the left, or you only want 1 switch on the drivers (left) and it would be the power door lock switch.

The system is already designed to operate both door locks, you just need to eliminate the switch on the passenger side.  If you wanting power windows you need a left and right switch unless you plan to make both go down at the same time?

Yes, A single switch in each door understanding that if I want the passenger window down, I obviously can not control it from the drivers side...  Sorry if I am making my question more difficult that it has to be.  I am just looking for direction in what wires I eliminate (drivers door Suburban 4 window harness) and if the power has to go through the switch first before the other windows will work.  I have never messed with the actual power windows so I do not know.  Thanks so much for your patience.
