hi, i have the 84 gmc c2500. im tryin to install new rear cables. (one thats goes to each wheel). i have one hooked up, but i cant get the other one. and i looked but there is no adjuster on the cable anywhere. here is some pics.

Are you saying the threaded cable isn't long enough to reach the equalizer? If that's your problem that's common. I have an ez fix for that I used. I went to the HELP! (motormite) section and got 2 cable connectors. Then I bent one end flat on both pieces and butt welded them together. Perfect fit, cables work mint.

i dont have a welder
but could u get some pics? cuz it needs to go like 1/2"-1" more to be able to reach the bracket.

i'd still like to see pics of it. but i found my own solution...i bought another threaded rod and used a coupler and screwed them together. seems to work good.

Maybe you're just not understanding the pic. You need to disconnect the intermediate cable like where you see that bracket that was made. Then you hook up the threaded cable to the equalizer. With the new link bracket you can get the proper adjustment and reconnect the cables. With your other cable connected to the intermediate cable the threaded cable will not reach. I've found this with most of the aftermarket cables.
