Vile, you seem to have no troubles taking motors and trannies in and out of these things. How do you deal with the bolts at the top of the bellhousing? It's been over 15 years since I took a motor out of one of these for high-school auto shop but I recall the top two bolts on the bellhousing bolting to the motor were a real pain to get at.

Once the tranny mount is out lower your tranny jack down and there's plenty of room to get in there with the long extension. These have more room than most longitudinal trucks.

I was showing the progress on my truck yesterday and the color yellow came up. Bigkountry, feel like makin a yellow one? lol
I've been waiting for my foot to heal but I have the TBI system ready to start installing and the headers are on. The driveshafts are in and I have to finish painting the differentials and some other spots on the frame. Once that's done I'll pop the fuel tanks and pumps in and start hooking everything up. I have to make a final decision on the color soon so I can start hanging the sheet metal.

Does this suit your tastes or do you want it blacked out like the green? We are in the middle of this big winter storm coming through so I have no clue how we will make out. If I am not back on here in a bit..I am without POWA...lol

I was thinking of like a bright canary yellow with all the chrome blacked out. Hope you don't lose power. I still have to wire in my generator although I've been lucky about losing power this winter... knock on wood

Another quick one, I will re-do it once we are clear of the storm. It's freezing rain outside right now so it might get rough here.
Just wanted to give you an example, if you want it changed let me know and I will get it done.

That dark green and charcoal both look good...I won't comment on the yellow..I actually like that purple...I've been contemplating painting my truck a really dark royal purple w/ black racing stripes, black w/ purple stripes, or purple/black or black/purple two tone.
