New Blazer leaf springs
« on: October 26, 2007, 06:59:11 pm »
Last time I had a K5, Summit had factory replacement rear leaf springs for $109 for the pair.  My 2wd 79 needs new springs all around.  The front coil springs aren't hard to find.  Anyone have a source for the rear leaf springs?  I've found them but they are twice price and then some from the last time I bought them.

Thanks.

look in the yellow pages. There should be a spring shop somewhere near you. I have to travel 45 minutes for my nearest one. Or a guy that works there lives about 6 miles from me. I have him bring stuff home.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I'm pretty sure Jcwhitney sells them too or try googling them. A quick search showed 8 zillion companies selling them.

I've literally spent hours on Google.  Every hit I've checked ended up being lowering springs or lift springs.  Back when, those I got from Summit were from Ruff Country or Tough Country or something like that.  A friend was looking for them a few years back and I called the company because Summit didn't list them anymore.  They said they'd quit making them.

I'm obviously not getting a pair of OEM rear springs for $109 again but I'd sure like to find a set at a decent price.

I found what I wanted at a very reasonable price.  And they can do customs if you like.

Check them out when you need new springs, the technical help is excellent.

might try Classic Parts if Chris does not sell them here.
