I am repainting my 81 stepside and I am looking for the smaller sport mirrors like the ones on
http://www. competitor.com/icatalog/cc/0101.asp
part#38-5868. I want the metal chrome ones not the plastic chrome ones. If anyone knows a place or website to get them for cheaper than $50 a piece I would be very gratefull.

If timing was better, I'm DYING to get rid of those little pieces of junk, but I can't afford a set of the larger factory style stainless mirrors yet. I actually have a spare set of the little chrome sport mirrors, but I don't have the mounting brackets for them, and one is cracked..

I like the look of the mirrors like you see on my trucks. I think these trucks look ridiculous without mirrors all together. The large mirrors with the huge brackets are ugly though. Did you look on eBay?

Yep, the mirrors on Vile's truck is exactly what I'd love to have for mine.
Even the ones I have on my truck aren't in mint condition, or I'd offer to save ya about $40 and trade you these for a new set of the stainless mirrors (they're like $30 each instead of $50), but the chrome isn't perfect..no rust, but its kinda dingey, and doesn't polish out easily.

I actually prefer the large mirrors. It's everybody's opinion though. Go with what you want. At least with you'll be getting a good set of mirrors....at least I would hope

Don't count on it. I ordered a set of the 4 point mirrors from for the '84 I had, and they were JUNK. The repro mirrors look exactly like the ones I have, but pawns some real junk on people..
