It is getting closer...
« on: November 14, 2007, 08:03:10 am »
Started reassembly of my truck.  Should have everything assembled by Saturday.  Haven't had any updates to post, so this is an exciting time for me.

Looks Great Jeff!  I though you were painting the bed floor, did you change that?

Chris, the underside is painted...the top side will be line-x'd or Rhino lined gray or black...more than likely gray.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I remember that.  Are you only doing the floor?  Is there any gray on the truck?  Yellow liner is out then.

Floor only (wanted some usability out of it).  The truck has no grey.  I like the yellow idea, but it is more expensive...grey would provide some contrast.

I say yellow the bedfloor definitely then if you need to use the truck throw a bed mat on top of it.

I would say black then since you do have black on there, or go with tan since the interior is tan...  Of course you know this is just a suggestion as its your truck.

You and Pugsy can start a Yellow Truck Club.  ;D
I am jealous.  The color reminds  me of my 68 Mustang, I had painted 1970 Ford Yellow.

Nice Truck. I love that yellow. I remember when we painted my buddies CRX like almost that same banana yellow color, it looked good, but not as good as this truck.

Looks awesome, a little orange tint to it? What is the color? I would do the bed floor black. I think a hard contrast is better than a soft one, just my opinion. Ar you going to work it? If not the SEM brand bed liner would probably be fine for you. Its a spray do it your self deal. You need a Shutz gun to apply it.
I will be in that yellow truck club too. Finally started working on mine again. got the draw problem figured out. A diode in the alternator was drawing 8 volts. Got the plow lights on, the wires run for the plow, beacon, and back up lights. Got the dome light working. Allot of little things.
Corvette Yellow on mine.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I like the yellow.  Both trucks look GREAT.  I would go with black bed liner. I too think like a hard color change is nicer than a softer look.

I wish I had your shops though Jeff and Blazin.  I am trying to work in a 16X24 garage I built a while back.

Good Jobs.
