Ploitical Correct crowd
« on: November 28, 2007, 09:11:02 am »
Is everybody on here part of it?
Here is an example. My kid had to take something to kindergarden for show and tell that starts with the letter B. So I gave him a picture of a bear I shot. Its just a picture of him standing next to a dead bear. Wife claims they would go nuts over something like that. Teachers ,other parents, etc would complain.
Surely things are not that crazy yet?
How could anybody be offended by something like that?

Better than a bong! Ooopps did I say that! Sorry it just slipped out. lol

Not insinuating anything. I agree there is nothing wrong with a picture. But yes the world is that crazy yet. RE: my Santa Clause post last week!

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Do I dare ask why that thread was locked?
Just an observation about North America in general. Seems like unless we hate God, hate everything that was considered normal a few years ago (traditional family values)and unless we are pushing the pro homo agenda that we are not allowed to talk anymore.
Seems to me the ones who are always pushing for tolerence have no tolerence for anybody who doesnt agree with them ???

Just me, but if I wanted to talk about pollitical/social stuff, I would be on a political/social forum. I am here because I am interested in 73-87 Chevy trucks.

It's like going inlaws once a year and bringing up the same subjects to the same people that produces the same old arguments. Give it a rest.

That thread started getting too colorful in respect to the topic and I had to dump to many posts.  This is a family site, but it is also a truck site, and I didn't want it to get out of hand.

As far as show and tell at least you didn't send him to school with a beer...

Give him your rear bumper from your truck....that starts with a "B".
Or let him take a Bunch of Bananas to illustrate how the class is driving him bananas.  Hey, a Beehive, full of course. ;D

If it were my son doing a show and tell with the letter "B", I'd give him my banjo for the day....ummm, second thought, no I wouldn't.

Getting back to the bear...why take the picture, take the bear rug with him (it is a rug now, right?)

Yes, parents, teachers, everyone would complain that the little kids were traumatized by the reality someone kills animals.  I have been hunting with my dad since I was around 5, but, today, it is a different world. (yes that was with bow and arrow, they hadn't invented gun powder back then)

You got that right, just look at the news lately. Two wack jobs going into churches shooting people up in Colarado.
Up in Vancouver Canada the liberal press is trying to make that Robert Pickton <serial killer>out to be a Christian lunatic.
Everything is upside down in this world. Whats good is bad and whats bad is good.
Merry Christmas Haha Am I still allowed to say that?

The PC way is Happy Holidays.  Covers all bases from Ramidan, to Hanukkah, Kwanzaaa, and Christmas.  I hope I didn't leave anyone out.

Won't be long before there is a PC term for "Political Correctness"... It has such a negative connotation anymore. I fear the term may end up offending someone. You know, like "Commie Pinko F##"  ;D
