Well I finished the Assembly today and I feel pretty good about the way it went. I ended up using a lunati Vodoo Hyd Flat Tappet camshaft, and all measurments have been triple checked. I am hoping to have it running tomorrow on the engine stand then install it in the truck on Tuesday after work.

It Lives ;D ;D

Well got the 489 fired up and broke in this weekend, It sounds pretty good but a fairly smooth Idle, 14 inches of Vaccum. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo Series Hyd flat tappet cam.

I broke the cam in on my run stand and tonight I warmed the engine up reset the valves and the retorqued the head bolts. I think I might play hooky from work and install the engine back into the dually  :o

Well here is a quick vid

The truck is making good progress, I have been spot priming and doing body work for the last couple weeks  >:( I am really getting tired of sanding.
