Anybody running lowering leafs?
« on: January 15, 2008, 07:20:11 am »
Just wondering if anyone here has used lowering leafs and how they worked out for them. The 4" lowering springs are pretty cheap and I was considering trying them on a truck I'm lowering.

I am using lowering leafs on the 73-87chevytrucks.com truck, they are custom made though.

How do you like them? How about your pinion angle? Did you check it b4 and after? I was just googling around and saw a few sites that sell them http://www.performancesuspension.com/trucklowering.htm

i have mine drop from the rear with only the stock springs! check this out.... 3.5" of drop by straightning out the leaf springs.
i did not remove anyof them. this was accomplished by a semitruck wheel and a sledge hammer. i do not have dropped shackles or hangers.

by the way the truck now rides really smooth.  used to have a hard bouncy ride....
THE LOWER I GO,..... THE MORE SHE LIKES IT!

Well, I haven't driving around on them, but the pinion angle is right at 4 degrees.  Steve's Suspension built them for me.  He used to SCCA race a pickup truck a while back.  His father is the owner of Chisholm suspension .
