Headlight mounts

How do u get the head lights to stop floating??? Only 2 adjusters...and i have the head light aimed ware it needs to be ...But its not stiff..Just kinda floats???

How about the springs that hold tension on the h/light bucket? There should be one on each lamp assembly in the corner opposit of the 2 adjusters. They sometimes rust and brake off or stretch with fitigue. Also make sure that all 4 screws are securing the retaining ring to the bucket sandwiching the bulb in place.

Well i just Replaced both housings...the other ones wear so rotted...I didnt take no springs off...didnt think any went on....Do they sell em at auto zone?

More than likely. It probly would be helpfull to look at an identical truck or at one of the online headlamp exploded veiws at one of the resteration suppliers website.

lol...I gotta remember that springs to u guys was high tech..j/k
i looked in my manual..and seen that it takes springs....But u gotta admit...That bucket is shot...and there was no spring that came off that

If you look at the picture the bottom left is an indentation.  That is where the spring goes.  It is mounted in the core support.
