1977 camper special and 1980 gmc sierra

I just picked the camper special up today and drove it home 50 miles.  Not bad for $350 and $20 for gas.





Bought this one last year for $1000.

Hey that Camper Special looks like a truck I was behind on the highway today...oh yeah i followed you home.  Great running truck, even better price.  And we attached plates from a state troopers house!!!

Nice catch.  I wish I could find a deal like that.  A friend of mine bought a nice 84 longbed for $200 a couple months ago, running and everything.

I have its twin 77 chevy cousin here in west texas. was$400 454, and 700r4 tranny. She's not in that gooda shape anymore.crooked mechanic took motor out to rebuild, lost heads. I had to put front end in bed of truck and drag home. was ok, just flat cam lobe, now????

I have a 77 stepside camper special at work right now. I never understood what made it a camper special other than the logo!

I think it was the g.v.r.w. that makes it a camper special. Not positive tho. It has tiedowns in the bed too.  Ive never seen a stepside one tho.
