The sector shaft was leaking  which I could have fixed but the bearings were shot in the worm housing and you could feel it. Just not worth wasting the time with when I can get a reman for $95 bucks.

Where did you get a reman box for 95?  I havn't seen them that cheap.  How much is the core?

Very nice.  Black on black...so sweet.  Is that an aftermarket hood?  Or did you go to town on a factory style cowl?

Thanks! The hood is made by reflexxion dual cowl with the ram air scoops.

I got the steering box from my autoparts vendor. Anything for me he adjusts the price down to as low as he can. It's a price override he can do to price match :D He ended up just giving ti to me anyway since I do so much business with them :D Score

Man! I wish I knew you could convert long beds to shorts.. I coulda gotten a BRAND NEW bed from a friends wrecked truck for $100. And it had the paint job I was gonna do to my truck and everything..

Oh well it's a 4x4, kinda meant to be a long bed anyhow.

And it's funny, this WHOLE time I thought your truck was already a short bed. :P

Hey, good luck with the conversion. I have a 75 LWB that I am starting to want to convert to a Short bed.  I'll have to keep watching this thread to see how it goes.  I will definitely be asking you some questions about how it went later.

couple of questions, 1st are you planning on marrying this g/f you got?If so you scored there again, and do you work at a machine sho[?Cause you definately know alot bout motors.If you plan on doing the frame section i dont know if you seen the thing on trucks where they took a 66 LWB and cut it into a swb and didnt have a section of the frame used to support the cut like 1 in a link here on the site.

The 454 emblems I had a guy make but I think I'm gonna ditch them when I repaint the truck.

Marriage? You never know... The girl that lands this hunk a burnin love is gonna be one lucky chick!  ;D

I don't work at a machine shop but I have alot of engine building equipment including valve grinding equipment. Anything like boring, or resurfacing I take to the machine shop I deal with. I didn't see the episode but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and the frame will be very strong and look nice when I'm done. I'm going to pop the cab off and replace the bushings since a few of em are splitting.

I kinda like the 454 symbols if it was my truck id have a load speaker on there screaming that i got a 454 big block :D lol
