Looks great, and the tailgate is sweet I did mine and really like the way it looks. Its a little hard to open though, I have to stand on the tip of my toes to reach the handle. Lol.

Not really it's been sitting mostly. I think last time I drove it was to the car show.

I picked up an 87 tailgate I found on craigslist for $40 bucks. I stripped it, flipped it and put the louvered skin on it. Now I'll have two gates, one smooth one louvered. I should have the gate finished this week. Here it is right now

Cool!  Why not run louvers all the way across?  Just a matter of personal preference?

Because it matches my roll pan and I didn't want it to look like a cheese grater.

OK now you've done it. I've been toying with the idea of a second tailgate also but since I already have the smooth one I want to take the section out of a Chevy Avalanche the tailgate has the letters CHEVROLET stamped out all the way across I think that would look different but subtle.  What do ya think?

Have someone photoshop it for you. Sounds like a cool idea. I bet the avalanche gate will cost more than you'd wanna spend though lol

Thanks for the compliments guys.
